"Why are you worrying so much about what he'll think of you? He's already proposed to you, you've just got to say yes," Luana muttered to herself as she stood in front of the full body mirror, applying eyeliner and straightening the dress she was wearing. Her heels were thrown onto the queen-sized bed, as well as her earrings that were in a small box, and her purse. Her glasses were perched on forehead as she leaned in close to get her vision just right to apply makeup. Blinking rapidly to get rid of the tears that threatened to spill over because of the eyeliner, she dropped her glasses on to make sure it looked okay, before pulling them back up to apply mascara. She spun the small pinky ring as she finished before started to brush and rebrush her hair, pulling it over her shoulders and pushing it back. She finally settled with with a part of her hair over her shoulder and the rest running down her back. She sat down on the bed and had started to unbuckle the shoes to slip her feet into the highheels when the alarm started going off. "He's here!" Luana squealed, then slapped her hand over her mouth before going to her purse. She got out a compact silver object that looked like a mirror out of the small purse, and opened it. A mic came up, and speaking into it she said. "The door is open, Indi, I'm almost ready." She hurriedly slipped the light purple and creme sets of rose earrings, and buckled her shoes before grabbing her purse and heading for the staircase.

Indifference Indigo walked up the steps of the house that Luana had taken over... or rather... bought from the government at an extremely low price.... yes that was it..... indeed... Shaking his head and forcing a smile upon his visage, the red haired man continued up the steps. Ringing the doorbell that was apparently more of an alarm set rather than a door bell, Indi waited a moment until Luana told him the door was open. Stepping into the house, the red haired man walked through the rooms until finally coming to the room where Luana was sitting on the bed. Feeling his face turn slightly red, Indi laughed. "Well aren't you just spectacular today," he smiled knowing that she would no doubt approve the comment but somehow go down denying it in the end.

Luana's face flushed as she looked up at Indi. Looking back down, she realized that her leg as half up and her hands in the middle of pulling on the heels, and if at the right angle, quite inappropriate in the short dress. She quickly dropped her leg and proceeded to fighting with the shoe more lady-like. "I always look like this, if you would care to notice," she said aloud, but in her mind she was reveling in the compliment. With the shoe finally on and buckled, she stood up and went to give him a hug and a kiss, but ended up failing and tripping over herself and falling into Indi's chest.
Her cheeks became bright red, I really hope that didn't look desperate at all, she thought to herself as she looked up at Indi with a small smile. "It's good to see you. The war seems to be keeping us apart too much," Luana said hesitantly, not wanting to seem anything less then caring, but not anything more than observer.

As she fell into him, Indi took the opportunity to wrap his arms around Luana. "Indeed, the war, and maybe a bit of our own convictions," Indi sighed after a moment as he looked down at her and slowly kissed her on the forehead. I missed her that's for sure..... Indi thought to himself closing his one eye for a moment before opening it again. "You still trying to fight evolution and turn machines back to flesh?" he joked lightly. Over the years, that phrase had ceased to start an immediate fight but was turned rather into more of a greeting.

"Yup. You still turning poor little plants into mechanical venus flytraps?" Luana replied jokingly before poking him in the side. She leaned forward and laid a small kiss on his lips and just leaned against him for a moment, committing the feel of Indi's arms around her. It was true, since he had proposed to her months before the war, she had walked away, saying she had to think, even though she knew the answer right then. She had made herself sparse, only half the time answering the few calls that he made, and refusing all but three dates, one right before the war, one last year, and the one they were about to embark on. It had been two years, and she found it now the right time to give him the answer that he'd been anticipating for so long.
But not right now, Luana thought, and stepped back from his arms a few inches, catching is right falling hand and entangling his hand with her's. "Let's go to dinner, and when we come back, we can drink a glass of wine and talk science," she laughed, knowing that if they did that, the night would end just as every other has, with an argument, and a kiss goodnight.

"Hah," Indi answered back raising an eyebrow of inquisition for a moment. "Fine then. Shall we go?" He smiled lightly and kept his face perfectly alined with a cheery demeanor. Yet he was somewhat tired in all aspects. Tired of dealing with the government trying to return him to his previous work. Tired of his tries at getting Selene to wake up failing. Tired of people in general. Indifference Indigo was tired in general.

Luana somehow succeeded in pulling Indi's arm around her waist while never losing a hold of his hand while they trekked down the hallway and started down the stairs, which she proceeded to fail at. "Oh crap," Luana cried as her 3rd step down the stairs fell wrong, and caused her to start to fall down the first staircase. Being dragged down with Luana as she fell, Indifference Indigo dug his heels into the step of the stairs, and yet it did no good, both of them fell forwards and hit the base of the twist in the stairs. Swearing in several chosen scientific terms including the name of Albert Einstein, Indi grumbled to himself as he got back up once more. Standing fully and yet awkwardly, Indi reached down and helped Luana up as well. "Well Physics appears not to be merciful today," Indi commented shaking his head. "Gravitation's constant is still an ass as always. Took me twenty hours to figure flight for a cyborg, and it wants to knock me down when I'm walking. Great" Indi rolled his eye a bit and then looked at Luana. "You're such a klutz sometimes," he smirked more to himself than to her.

"Not my fault that gravity has hated me since I was born. And these god forsaken heels," Luana grumbled as she looked down at the 4-inch heels with venom, but she refused to go look for a different pair. She had planned this outfit since she had agreed, and she would wear it even if it killed her. Rubbing her forehead where it had hit the ground, she smiled a small smile at Indi, "Sometimes it occurs to me that it might extend my life expectancy if you just carried me every." She laughed and tucked her hand into his.

"Oh that's a thought," Indi said a loud, and before Luana could react, the red haired man had already scooped her up and was holding her bridle style. "There that work for you?" Indi half smirked at her. Walking to the front door and then out the door still carrying her despite Luana's constant demands to be put down, Indi continued to walk down the street towards his car. "At least let me carry you to my car," he laughed a bit even as she continued to try and fight him to get back down.

Luana glared at him and humphed as she crossed her arms and looked down at her knees, letting Indi carry her. She hated it when Indi did something overly romantic, like carry her (which didn't happen all that often), but she knew she loved it to. The hate only came from her strong beliefs that women shouldn't use men as a crutch, use them to be strong, or let them bring the girls down to being weak, but Indi was always an exception to this rule, and she knew other women that thought like her had men that treated them hopefully as sweetly as Indi did.
When Indi got to the car, he opened the door, and when he put her down for her to sit, she grabbed the front of Indi's shirt and pulled him down to kiss him. "Thank you for carrying me," she smiled, giving him a rare thank you.

Indi returned the kiss and smirked lightly to himself satisfied with his mission complete. Stepping around to the driver's side, the red haired man turned on the car and started driving down the street. Despite the fact that he kept an eyepatch over his eye, Indi had very good vision and was able to keep track of the road quite easily. However, even though he was forced to keep his sole eye on the road, Indi began feeling a strange feeling radiating from Luana. "What?" he asked not able to turn his head as he asked it.

Luana's hand searched for Indi's, and entangled her fingers with his as she crossed her legs, uncrossed them, and recrossed them again. She was nervous to answer, because she couldn't say it was nothing, because Indi had a feeling when something was wrong, or that something important needed to be said. She squeezed his hand and blushed a deep red before answering. "The answer is yes." She froze for a moment before messing with the hem of her dress, flattening it, messing it up and flattening it again.

The gas pedal hit the floor and the car seemed to break into the sudden halt that had been preformed. Thankfully there was no one behind them on the side road or there would have been a complete rear end collision. However, there was nothing, and it allowed Indi to turn his eye on Luana carefully examining her visage for any type of joke in the matter.
Being forced forwards for a moment but then pulled carefully back by the seat-belt and chair, Indi turned his head to look directly at Luana. There was a moment where the only sound that could be heard between the two of them was the half repetition of breathing. Indi felt his face starting to turn as red as his hair but forced the color from it.
"You mean.... yes as is...." he began breaking off knowing already what Luana was saying. "That....." he tried again but failed once more. A breath came into the man and a smile had worked its way on Indi's face. "Heh....heheh.....hahahah," he laughed lightly smiling directly at Luana. The sound of honking from behind as a car signaled that it was irritated with Indi and was about to run him over if the cause permitted, and yet it didn't faze the cyborg scientist in the least.
Opening the door and stepping out into the street, Indi let out a strange and very sharp cry of jubilation that would never be echoed again. The drive of the car behind them seemed to turn his head sideways out the window to stare a this strange man all but dancing in the street.
"Hey buddy, will you just get back in your damn car and drive?" the man asked as he stuck his head out the window.
"She said yes!" Indi yelled back at him causing the man in the car to reflect a look of complete and utter confusion. Running over to the car, Indi stuck his head in the car all but breaking into the personal space of the man who already believed that he was some sort of strange psycho who had escaped some sort of mental hospital. "She said yes!" Indi shouted at the man once more before backing out from the window he had been looking in and all but skipped back to his car. "She said yes!"
The driver of the car watched Indi as he got back into his own car. "And I thought the mechanicals were the weird ones..." the man said aloud before being punched lightly in the arm by the passenger of his car, his own wife of a few years.
"You should know what he's happy about," the woman answered lightly laughing to herself remembering something that her husband dd not.
Indifference Indigo was far from indifferent in that moment as he got back into the car and then turned to what appeared to be a very confused looking Luana. "Are you sure?" he asked trying to keep the smile off his face and failing completely. "Do you mean it?"

"Of course I mean it Indi. Indifference Indiana Michael Indigo, when have I ever been not serious?" Luana laughed as she unbuckled her seat and slid towards him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, a smile still on her lips. She didn't know anymore why she was so nervous to give him her answer, but those worries were gone now, and all she knew was Indi.
