The year is 2064, and there are many technological advances. Cars are safer, with seat-belts that belt you into the seat as soon as you sit down in the car seat, and there is no such thing as a blind-spot, with small cameras that surround the car's body. Computers are now more like holograms: small little cones that sit on surfaces, and with a touch of a button, a large screen shows up in the air, and you can do anything you can do with a computer now, just so much more. But these are only a couple of the advancements in this age, and not even the most complicated.
The government has a secret experiment that they are funding, and only few scientists and doctors know about it, and the ones that know are the ones that perform it, and the ones that made it work. When young people, from the ages of 15 to 25, if they are fatally injured in some sort of accident, FBI agents will come before the young person's family, and are given a choice. Let the government experiment on them, or let them die. Those that are changed, become riddled with mechanical parts. Their bone structure is replaced with air-craft material, and reinforced with titanium. Their left eyes are replaced with tiny computer-like machine that is hidden by white-tinted glass, and then covered with a contact-like lens designed to look identical to their right eye; this computer takes pictures, and analyzes everything chosen by the person. Their organs, other then their digestive system, circulatory system, and lungs, are taken out and replaced with machines that make them lighter, and make them able to run much faster than the fastest human. They have become a mechanical... a Cyborg.
The only problem with this is that, 6 out of 10 experiments die during or after the conversion.
The survivors and living well, but people suspect something is up. And when they came forth to the public, people were horrified. The only reason why they decided to show themselves, they were tired of government control. They had become like slaves, and they were tired of it. And so they have rebelled.
Two sides to this War of the Mechanicals: the cyborgs led by Jabari Finn; and the human defense led by Bayard Synan, appointed by the United States President. Who will win? The alleged invincible half-machines? Or will the naturals, the children of Mother Nature?
Which side are you on?
