London is a very special city. Since January 2009, it has become known as the city which has got the largest population of vampires, in the world.
For thousands of years though, vampires lived their dark lives in secrecy – humans weren’t meant to know they existed, and the vampires were good at keeping their secret safe. There were so called unspoken rules, which all vampires had to abide to keep their secret safe – but the rules were broken. Vampires became more and more careless with hiding their prey, or hiding that they were vampires at all. Human detectives began looking into it. Eventually that meant the end of secrecy. Humans became aware that they’re not alone, and had to share their world with the vampire race.
Since the secret came out, more and more vampires have come to the city of London. This is where CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT take place. Vampires and humans have begun to come together, and settle in this new world where humans know vampires exist. Some humans fear the vampires, some don’t like them, some become very fascinated with these supernatural beings… there’s a certain interest from most, no matter their opinions of vampires.
