"I'll call in later. Jabari will be wondering where his general and living monument for our freedom went," Aletha rubbed at her eye, annoyed. Jabari had seemed to have staked a claim with her, telling her privately that it was what the public expected. Their respected hero, and their respected emblem should be an item. It was ridiculous, but when asked, she never denied it, but never admitted it. Her feelings would always be with Kato. He was the only man from her past that accepted her for her. "I'll make a plan to stay, but if I have to leave, I'll make sure to say something, so if one of your alarms goes off, you won't be alarmed," she said, laughing to herself at the pun, but only weakly. She was tired, of the war, of the fighting, and of everything that they stood for. But she respected her people, and was willing to fight for them.
"Selene is ours to protect, and they should know that they'll have to go through both me and you to have offical ownership for her. Because if something happened to you, and she was taken, I would lay ruin to that Fenceline of theirs, and steal her right back. And if I die, the rebels will fight on, with more vigor if anything. So it would be wise of them to keep to themselves, and let the more advanced of species be."

"Indeed," Indi answered back feeling a calm wave of what was both peace and agitation at the same time. If they ever took Selene away, I would make the demons of hell rise in the flesh of the damned and have machines set fire to their flesh of human life. Indi thought to himself darkly.

"I'm going to secure the area, no leaving the house line, because I don't want to be eaten by your plants that you undoubtedly set on our unfortunate visitors," Aletha said, her words sharp as she stepped into the hallway. First thing she did was put her back against the wall and ran along it while singing the mission:possible song under her breath. She peered over the ledge of the window and looked out, briefly looking at the dead body before looking out at the swaying metal plants that had a flash of red light from it's head, only visible when turned towards her.
She continued in much the same way, lightening the mood as she walked past Indi doing the same thing, and towards the dining room before stopping just inside and looking into the wall through the bullet holes.

Indi laughed lightly at Aletha's comment for a full few minutes before he began to walk through his house once more to survey the damage done and make sure that the stragglers were either eaten or disposed of properly. As he passed a corpse that had been mauled by Honey, the giant man eating metalic plant, he smiled and bowed to her. The plant seemed to smile as much a plant can actually smile at the compliment and then bowed as well. After another moment, Indi rose and continued on. With each corpse he found, Indi dialed a number on his phone, and his house reacted by taking up the body and transporting it to the lab far below. He was going to stay true to his word on the matters that had afflicted him, and the red haired man was going to make the best corpse puppets of all time with those that had tried to take Selene away. Serves them right those filthy humans.... and those traitorous cyborgs...... Indi thought to himself as he continued walking through his house.

Once Aletha got to the living room, she dropped the theme song and sighed, looking at the scattered tattered fans. There had been a design on the wall before she had previously shot through, and as she picked up one fan that was a mix of blue and red that was mostly intact, she started to spin it around on her index finger as she made notes on the damages. A few pieces of furniture had been sprayed in the initial attack, but the rest had survived. And with a glance back into the dinning room, I saw that the huge fan on the wall was only dusted with drywall. After one more once over the whole bottom floor, and a scan of the upstairs floors, always staying in the stairwell, found nothing else amiss.
She descended the stairwell and went out through the busted front door, and looked at the plants that were leering at her, and thought better of going outside while the metal traps were still alive. She sat down on an unstable couch, and sighed when two of the bullet-holed legs gave out, sliding her against the armrest.

Coming back into the living room after a bit of searching, Indi sat down in the chair not too far from the couch. Leaning back in it, he closed his one eye and appeared to be asleep. However, this was not true for he started talking lightly. "I'm so going to bill the government for this later when they ask me to pay my taxes," Indi joked lightly more to himself than to Aletha. "When this war is over, I'm taking over and becoming the head of Parliament and the President of the United States, and I'm gonna tax all the idiots who messed with my house ten fold."

"I'll be vice president of everything that you become the leader of, and help you with it. Urgh, we're surrounded by idiots," Etha said as she leaned her head back against the back of the couch, staring up at the tall ceiling. She was suddenly tired, but wasn't comfortable enough to sleep until it was certain that the house and Selene was safe. She had met Selene only a couple of times, before her own accident that had caused her to fall under a deep coma, but after stealing her with Indi, she had become more of a little sister to protect than just Indi's younger sister. She rubbed her eyes before sitting up straight, "What should we do if they try to attack again? And they get in? Because I'm no longer a secret weapon."

Indi let a breath out and half swore. "I'm not sure honestly," he said aloud. "I'll keep the plants and land sharks working around the clock, and I'm pretty sure I can take them on again if need be. Indi kept his eyes closed and had the still appearance of repose. "If Selene would wake up, I could move the lab, but it's not safe at this point." Shaking his head, Indi felt a tad bit of frustration run through him. "No..." he finally said after a few seconds of thought. "They know they can't get through this place... they'd go after... Luana..." Indi was already on his feet again and had seized a land wire phone that remained untraceable to anyone and anything. Typing in the numbers, Indi waited. Pick up... pick up..... Indi's thoughts were loud in his head.

Luana had just gotten her house into lockdown, titanium enforced plates covering each window and door so nothing could get through. She slid down the door of her lab and sighed loudly, her mind stressed beyond reason. Another experiment had failed, and she had been dealing with the dead body of a cat when the first shout had called out, telling her to be calm, and no one would be hurt. She knew it was the government coming for her, because of Indi or something of her own doing. She had run for the house, but one of the flying bullets had hit her in her shoulder, making her left arm useless; but ignoring it, she hurried inside and downstairs before anything could enter the house. She started to enter the code to let out the mechanical guard dogs that Indi had insisted for her to maintain, when one of her three phones rang. It was the landwire phone that only Indi had the number for. She picked up and all but shouted into the phone. "What the hell did you do?"
She finished the code and took out the gauze and medical pads as she sat down and tried to bandage her own shoulder.

"What the hell did I do?" Indi challenged suddenly angry at being yelled at. "What did you do? All the soldiers are coming from the government....." After a moment there was a full dead silence on the phone. "And they're trying to get me to give up Selene..." he finally admitted. The phone was completely silent. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"I've been shot through my damn shoulder, and I'm trying to patch it up now," Luana said before she bit down on a piece of gauze as the other hand pulled it tight, making her wince and make a small sound of pain. "How's everything on your end? Is Selene still alright? And was there anyone else with you there than just you and Selene?" She asked as she slid another medical pad beneath the bandages. She asked because she knew the mechanicals that were of his making tended to show up at his house to get him to fix their broken parts if it was needed.

"Son of a...." Indi swore harshly at hearing that Luana had been shot. He wanted to rush straight over to her house that very second but knew better than to leave the premise at the time. "And ya... Selene's find. I had my 0001 lover come over earlier," Indi tried to laugh at his own joke, and yet it turned out seeming more of a cough. "Aletha had her arm all but blown off, so I fixed it right before a crazy on slot decided to crash in." Indi put one finger to his temple and rubbed it in a circular pattern. "Are they still out there now?"

As Luana pulled the bandage tight, she grabbed a piece of cloth and tied it into a sling. She went over to a set of screens that were piled on top of each other, and after typing in a few codes, the screens became full of security camera visuals. "They are. I set the guard dogs on them after I had picked up the phone. A few of the dogs are still alive, each of them leaving behind a trail of dead soliders, but there are too many. I think they're trying to lever up the plates that covers the backdoor. I think I should come over there, since my house is overrun," Luana said as she tapped a few more codes in. A list of names and numbers came up, each with a light beside them. There were 50 in all, but only 8 were green, the others all red. It was the list of guard dogs, and she felt sad that they had died to protect her.

"Use the tunnel," Indi answered as he turned back towards Aletha. "And we'll meet you in the lab. Hurry and don't bother with anything." Indi felt his breath catch for a moment and then slowly allowed himeslf to hang up the phone. Turning to Aletha, he nodded almost to himself and forced a smile. "Luana is coming over," he smiled pleasantly. "Down to the lab we go!" He turned and headed down to the lab once more and came to the door that appeared to be locked. Opening it with a key, Indi stared into the giant hole that served as a tunnel.

Luana kicked off the short heels that she had been wearing and dug through her bag that was on one of the counters. She found a key at the bottom that had a small keychain with a small red heart on it, and went to go open the door. Leaving it open, she grabbed a small hand gun and two more things of bullets just in case it came to that. The tunnel wasn't long, and only she and Indi knew about it, or it should be only them. Once she shut the door behind her, she hit a couple of buttons in quick succession, and with a sliding noise, the door became camouflaged on the side of the lab.
She turned and started to jog as best as she could with her wounded shoulder, the other gun in hand as she listened into the darkness for any movement or sound other than her own breathing. She came to a turn and stopped dead in her tracks, because there were a pack of mechanical dogs growling at her. Luana had forgotten about Indi's pack down here, but he wouldn't have set them on her... something was wrong.
She took a step back to steady herself, and when the first dog lept, she shot 3 bullets into its chest cavity, and one into it's head, and from there shot only once or twice at the mobbing dogs.
